Critical Mass Sandton Basic Rules
NO Helmet – NO Ride
Do not ride ahead of rider leader
Riders bunch up
Think of the riders around you

Under 18’s must ride under parental supervision
Volunteer as a marshal

WHAT IS THE AIM OF CRITICAL MASS?
A1: (Serious answer) To promote:
- “Cyclist awareness” with other road users
- Cycling as a sport and a recreational activity
- Cycling as a alternative mode of transport
A2: (Real answer) To have LOADS of FUN
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS?
A bicycle (of any kind, shape or size) and a helmet. *Helmet is NOT negotiable
DO YOU NEED A LIGHT
The ambient light is quite sufficient but a bicycle light is a bonus!
IS IT SAFE?
Whilst every effort is made to make the ride as safe as possible, including a highly trained group leader and a chase car, Safety is your own responsibility.

Strictly your choice. Some months we have a theme which we will advertise on the Facebook Group
WHAT IS THE RIDE LIKE?
Ideal for beginner riders and relaxing for experienced riders. It is typically 10km out, and 6km return.
WHEN? WHERE? WHAT TIME?
When: Every LAST Friday of the month
What Time: 18:30 for 19:00
Where: Venue may change from ride to ride, so follow the event that is created for that month on Facebook.
